My son got pertussis (whooping cough) as an infant, because in the 90’s Dr.’s didn’t encourage parents to request that grandparents and others over the age of 50 get a booster vac if they wanted to have contact before baby was immunized. It was terrible, he was so miserable and couldn’t breathe.
