My plan: If anyone points out that Conservatives are happier, I’ll agree. And I’ll note one of my favorite Beatles’ lyrics: “Living is easy with eyes closed.”

What we know: Conservatives do report higher happiness than Liberals in many studies. But the underlying reasons are unclear - it may be because conservatives tend to believe social systems are more just, liberals feel more empathy, or numerous other factors.

• My plan: When in-laws say that the Harris campaign paid for endorsements, I’ll earnestly ask for their evidence and note that my research finds this is false rage bait.

• What we know: As required by law, the Harris Campaign paid production costs for venues and entertainment (for crew, lighting, staging, etc.). But there is no evidence that any celebrity was ever paid. Instead, numerous celebrities have explicitly denied being paid.

I'm setting a timer for 5-minutes to fact check each rage bait, since I think this is a reasonable amount of time to expect others to do the same.
