2/2 No, probably not. Just the NYT's Bernstein mirroring Nuzzi's style in recounting her tragic love. But since Bernstein mentions Lana Del Rey & I've mentioned Cohen, here's Del Rey & Cohen's son Adam doing IMHO a great cover of daddy Leonard's recounting of tragic love. youtu.be/DI8gg-PextE?...

1/2 Maybe a Leonard Cohen allusion?

"And everybody knows that you're in trouble
Everybody knows what you've been through
From the bloody cross on top of Calvary
To the beach of Malibu
Everybody knows it's coming apart
Take one last look at this Sacred Heart
Before it blows
And everybody knows"...

[2/2] CORRECTION TO THE CORRECTION: "His alleged promise to 'take a bullet' for her turned into a request that she take the bullet. ...as news broke of their relationship in [Sep] 2024, he told her, 'If it’s just sex, I can survive it.' She told him she would do whatever he needed her to do." Oops.

[1/2] CORRECTION: That's a "narcissistic crank who eats roadkill, swims in sewer water, will cause children to die, and is 50 years her senior who promised to 'take a bullet for her'(!)". That's true love* from an ordinary man and really saying something for a Kennedy!! [*though see part 2...]

[2/2] ... *Obligatory Endnote: Yes, yes, not "everyone", just an alarmingly large fraction of those with political and financial power and those who continue to love 'em, and yes those are overwhelmingly men... well, not men but rather 12-year-old man-children. WTF?! 🙄

[1/2] Oh my. I clicked through to see the underlying article & wow, that's the last nail in the coffin for my hopes that the lately popular "Everyone* is 12 now" theory (knowyourmeme.com/memes/everyo...) is just funny gallows humor as opposed to a major contribution to the social sciences. [...]

But BHL isn't just a "commanding hairstyle". He has that whole fancy-shirt-with-too-many-buttons-unbuttoned thing going on that IMHO goes beyond "he's a rakish intellectual who galavants among the glitterati at Cannes" to "umm, maybe he's about to take the floor at a ballroom dance competition?"

"Scource"? Can you clarify (especially since I can't seem to find any usages of "scource" on Google)?

Whacky. Thanks. This recently-updated (10/14) article www.pcmag.com/how-to/i-fig... confirms what you say & helpfully lists some *partial* solutions. (No *full* solution as there's no way to force Google to revert truly to its search algorithm pre-May-2024 when "AI Overviews" began to be standard.)
I Figured Out How to Limit Google's AI Overviews. You're Welcome
There's no official way to turn off Google's AI-generated search results completely, but these tricks can help you see them less often.

Oooh, good tip. I didn't know there was that quick-and-easy a tag to avoid the AI Assistant leading the response. Thanks.

[3/3] ... BUT the links Google AI Assistant gave as supporting documentation both times were... well, they weren't "hallucinations"... they were about _Fear of Flying_ (mostly about its 50th anniversary and daughter Molly Jong-Fast's recollections of her mom). But they didn't mention skirts at all!

[1/2] I'm especially curious who this is since Google -- in its newfangled AI Assistant topping the results form -- was of even less help than normal. Namely, the *first* time I Googled the prompt <writer who made a miniskirt out of ties of men she slept with>, Google AI Assistant said that this...

Oh, I'm pretty sure the Rapture was today. It's merely the case that no one actually got raptured up. For, verily, as Brother Curtis prophesized, lo, 55 years ago: "If There Is a Hell Below, We're All Going to Go" [Don't Worry, however]

Likely a tad older than you. IIRC*, the first albums I'm both (1) willing to admit I bought & (2) were new releases at the time: Paul Simon's _Rhythm of the Saints_ & Billy Joel's _Storm Front_.

* I contend my iffy memory should give me age verification bonus points! (Maybe my use of "IIRC" too?)
