For anyone with the stomach for it I’d recommend Herb Aptheker’s seminal history of American slave uprisings, which happened here & there almost every year with the regularity of seismic tremors

I believe we should have a vote on slavery every 10 years or so, and everybody that votes for slavery gets to be a slave, just like they wanted.
