It's cold, grey and quite miserable out there. This is a reminder of warm and sunny days to come. Photographed using the Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50mm f1.8 in Elder Park, Govan.

The River Clyde, Glasgow. A view upriver taken from the Govan Graving Docks. On the right is the Science Centre, in the foreground is the Bell's Bridge and on the left there's a glimpse of the OVO Hydro. Photographed using the Super-Takumar 28mm f3.5:

The appeal to save the Wyndford Tower Blocks has been rejected. I took this photo in April 2021 using a Konica Hexanon AR 57mm f1.4 vintage lens. In the foreground is the Community Heating Plant and Energy Centre.

As an ex-SNP member trying to conduct a respectful dialogue with some of those that are left is near impossible. They go straight to abuse then block as if they occupy some moral high ground. Beware hubris, simply because your party is flying high today. A single election can change everything.

Does anyone else remember the ice rink at the St Enoch Centre during the early 90's? It was often more lake than rink but it was great (if wet) fun. It was approximately where the food hall is now.

Aye but for chewy, you couldn't beat one of these. 😉

Govan Cross market back in 2011 when all I had was a wee digital 'point and shoot' camera. The market has long gone and the area has been transformed by new housing builds and landscaping. Little by little, bit by bit, Govan is changing.

I was provided these as a substitute in my Sainsbury's home delivery. I wouldn't have tried them otherwise.
Goodness me, although small and chunky I haven't tasted a better sausage. Firm, jam-packed with pork and very juicy. I need to get out more. 😉🤣

November 2019. A view that won't be seen again. The new Govan - Partick footbridge now dominates the scene. I'm glad they decided to incorporate the old winches. Taken using the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Primagon 35mm f4.5 lens.

Some very good songs on that album. I haven't listened to it myself. Speaking of 40 years ago, there's not a single dud on this one...

Has to be said but this is one among many.
What's your 10/10 album?
November 23, 2024 at 2:53 PM
Aye, that tends to be the case here too. The sky is either a brilliant blue or it's almost black and louring. This is an old flint mill lade in Kelvingrove Park here in Glasgow.
