I like games. Nintendo, PC and retro.
It brings me great joy knowing that you will quickly and swiftly be filtered by the culture and return to your own country (where you belong) within a couple of years :)

I hope you get everything that you wish onto other people. You celebrated a man's death, I'll celebrate your loss of a job.

Do Pope's usually die in office or do they typically get voted out or something? Excuse my ignorance I'm not Christian.

Depends. I think 8 years is a good number, but 5 is way too soon. I would have been fine with Switch for a few more years, but I am looking forward to the Switch 2.

That doesn't mean much when it comes from someone who doesn't understand how money works.

The console is being sold at a loss. The games are being sold at the same price as the previous console adjusted for inflation. Which one are you crying about?
April 14, 2025 at 10:29 PM
"they're not going to go into debt over selling all of their products at a loss"
April 14, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Alternative viewpoint: don't
April 14, 2025 at 9:45 PM
And yet that's exactly what this is about. Do you expect the company to go into debt for your bing bang wahoos?
April 14, 2025 at 9:43 PM
And?
April 14, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Artists deserve to be paid fairly for their work. If you disagree than eat shit.
April 14, 2025 at 11:18 AM
Again: how is the price greedy if they're selling the product at a loss?
April 14, 2025 at 11:16 AM
The BOM is $400. Assembly, provisioning, QA testing, packaging, shipping the device from the factories in Vietnam to retailers in your country etc add additional costs. Retailers also take a cut. $450 is a loss.

Sweden is getting scalped by Bergsala, that has absolutely nothing to do with Nintendo.
April 14, 2025 at 3:59 AM
Most likely it will be a big success but it won't sell as much as the original due to poor economic conditions and not benefiting from Covid era lockdowns like the original.
April 13, 2025 at 4:26 AM
I've got your cheaper Nintendo Switch right here
April 13, 2025 at 4:09 AM
Because it's being reported that they are. A Japanese firm is claiming that the BOM is $400 and the console will be sold at a loss.

Nintendo Gains Time to Prep Switch 2 Debut With Tariff Pause
A pause on the most punishing US tariffs in a century hands Nintendo Co. valuable time to prepare the momentous June launch of its new console and lifts pricing pressure. For now.

Overly expensive? They're selling it at a loss, how is it overly expensive?

I think a lot of people just hate anything labeled as AI now because of generative AI. Their hate is justified but they should learn more about AI so that they know this isn't the same technology as what they think it is.
April 13, 2025 at 2:49 AM
I'm hoping for that as well. Currently it looks like only Mario Kart will take the higher price, and I hope that remains true. At least for first party games. I have no doubt third parties will try to change their prices after GTA6 releases.
April 13, 2025 at 2:47 AM
That was a big problem for me when playing Mega Man 11 on Switch 1 😅
April 13, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Used is a great choice too though. I skipped some games last year and I just picked them all up for $20-$35 each. And with switch games, even used they're basically like-new condition usually.
April 13, 2025 at 2:42 AM
Permanent discounts are rare, but sales aren't. They have a handful of regular sales periods throughout the year for the eShop, and retailers have their own sales for physical (for example Tears has gone as low as $30 physical, is currently $20 off at some stores). Some stores even sell below MSRP
April 13, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Everybody wants one. Some people are just upset that they can't afford it so they claim that the grapes are sour. But they still want it.

Did you have any problems with bumping the right stick with your thumb when trying to push the ABXY buttons?
