I used to play video games.

I still do, but I used to, too.
If I had more money and had a horse track near me I would be more broke than I am already... but a side note, my girls are maruzensky and vodka. I love them and I want to see them shine…

3. Earthbound

Ok this is my first time playing Earthbound but man, it’s such a whimsical and charming game… the story is generally loose, (aside from the last fight that made me Feel Things) but the gameplay adds urgency to a turn based rpg with the HP ticking down that I haven’t seen anywhere else

When I sent the initial post I knew I was gonna get your attention lmao. I did look up if clockworks counted as kills (I do like my no kill runs) while running the mission and you’d be right, they don’t count!

From beginning to end, the idea of The Clockwork Mansion is really cool, (the Sokolov section is very scary due to how boxed in you are) but I cannot for the life of me understand how someone is going to be able to finish that level without being detected lmao

2. DMC: Devil May Cry

Disclaimer: I have not played any of the other DMC games. Fun gameplay loop, movement is decent and the storyline is very 2013 but (imo) in a fun goofy way. Dante also feels like the quintessential 2013 fuckboy (non derogatory). don’t think I’ll go back to it, but worth a play

1. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

I love Metal Gear with all my heart, but my dumb teenage brain couldn’t get over the genre change cause I was an annoying purist at that point. (Aka this isn’t Metal Gear 😡) Anyway, the acting is so campy (positive) and the gameplay is a lot of fun. Would recommend

I wanna take a breather and watch something short and silly, but that doesn’t feel fair to the creators. I gotta stew in these emotions while I go to bed…

The last episode made me feel like it was a 2 hour feature length film with how much they managed to cram in there but it was only like an hour and fifteen???? They legit don’t waste a SINGLE second. Oh my GOD I love Severance…
