That better person won by a landslide. So maybe I will reserve faith in the people who live in my building after all; it was waning there for a while, TBH.

Thrilled with my 4km average, I have decided to work up to a 10k, but right now, I am average 10 min./km., a far cry from my average back when I was a regular runner. But it’s all good; I am running again. Cancer may have changed my body forever but my body feels like it is becoming mine again.

I will be 41 this year, and am working with a post-chemo body. After about a solid year of weight training, I got on a treadmill last week with the intention of just walking on an incline. But the urge to run took over me. I hit almost 4k on my first try, like I hadn’t stopped running at all.
