At the Isokon Gallery on 20 Nov. A new short film which explores the twentieth-century designer FHK Henrion, a German-Jewish émigré, displaced many times before arriving in Britain. Followed by a discussion with the directors Sue Breakell and Harriet Atkinson.

The picture shows an Isokon minimum flat in the 1930s. This Sunday, 9 November, from 11:00 to 12:15, you have the opportunity to visit a a similar flat in the Isokon building. We ask for a donation of £10 per visitor. First come first served; there may be a wait.

We visited @henrymoorestudios.bsky.social on the last day of their season. A lovely sunny day perfect for exploring house of one-time Isokon resident Henry Moore, and the extensive grounds. Outstandingly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.

We're open for a Friday late (6-9 pm) on 28 November. On Sunday 9, 23 and 30 November you can visit an Isokon minimum flat from 11 am to 1 pm (first come, first served, we ask for a £10 donation per visitor to the flat). Do visit!

A fascinating excursion this morning to visit Space House in Covent Garden (Seifert and Partners 1968) Retrofitted and extended by Squire & Partners 2024 who have updated and improved the buildings while retaining the spirit of the original construction. squireandpartners.com/architecture...

Opening soon, “A House in Hampstead”, a solo exhibition with new work by Karin Kneffel, centred on the Isokon Flats, in which the artist invites us to re-imagine a fragmented past, discernible only through undated scenes.

At the Olivetti Showroom in Piazza San Marco, Venice, by Carlo Scarpa. Opened in 1958 and restored a few years ago. The floor tiles are made of glass.
