9. Familiarity with object of contemplation. Becoming too familiar with something causes us to lose appreciation for it. Someone who grows up around mountains will be less awestruck by mountains than someone who rarely sees them. (Dr. Malik Badir, Contemplation, pp. 78-91)

7. Good Company. If your friends are deep thinkers, this will have an influence on you.
8. Nature of the object of contemplation. It is easier to contemplate on nature and physical beauty than on abstract concepts.

5. Cultural Influence. Some cultures value contemplation more than others, and it is easier for people from such cultures to think deeply.

6️⃣ Guard Your Health
Sleep, food, and exercise aren’t distractions from productivity.
They fuel it.
A healthy body sustains focus and energy to serve Allah and others.

5️⃣ Use the Two-Minute Rule
If it takes less than 2 minutes, do it immediately.
This prevents small tasks from piling up and weighing on your mind.

4️⃣ Batch Small Tasks
Checking emails 20x/day kills focus.
Schedule one or two blocks for small tasks—then move on.
One big block of shallow work = more time for meaningful work.

3️⃣ Peak Hours for Deep Work
Identify when your energy is highest (for many, it’s after Fajr).
Reserve that time for your most important tasks.
Protect it. No email. No distractions.

2️⃣ Plan Your Day
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done regularly, even if small.”
Consistency comes from planning.
Write tasks down—don’t leave them in your head.
