For the last fifteen years she has been working on a transdisciplinary, justice-centered pedagogy of climate change, which is the subject of her 2024 book, Teaching Climate Change: Science, Stories, Justice.

He has held senior roles at the Conservation Society of Pohnpei, the Micronesia Conservation Trust, and the Pacific Community, and is co-founder of the Micronesians in Island Conservation and the Pacific Islands Managed and Protected Areas Community.

She was lead author for the IPCC Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate (SROCC) and was awarded a UNESCO Chair for “Societal Climate Change Research and Resilience” in 2024.
