The nene, Hawaii’s state bird, is endemic to the Hawaiian islands. Believed to have evolved from Canada geese over 500,000 years ago. I captured these shots while on Kauai.

It’s hard to believe that despite Hawaii being the most isolated landmass in the world, over 30 tons of trash have been found in its waters in such a short time.

Spent the day cruising offshore the Big Island. Spotted some booby birds and spinner dolphins and took some time to clean up trash from the ocean. Always feels good to give back to the place we love. #BoobyBirds #Birds #Dolphins #OceanCleanUp #KeepItBlue #WildlifeWatching
