imo the ideal here is to just straight up port the 3ds remake to switch. it was good! i liked it!
then while you’re at it port the ds remakes of 4-6 and ACTUALLY remake 9 from the ground up.

Rumour: Square Enix apparently developing Dragon Quest VII Remake for 2026
The next Dragon Quest game Square Enix is looking to give the remake treatment is the PlayStation One title Dragon Quest VII. The information comes from mp1st who claim they have seen internal documents related to the Japanese company. Dragon Quest VII Remake, if it's legitimate, is currently targeting an early 2026 release. There was no mention in the report of the eagerly-awaited Dragon Quest XII, which was first announced in May 2021. Square Enix has been notably silent regarding that particular title.

Cybies2077 might not be ready but MK World is terrific and the switch 2 versions of Zelda look and run amazing. Fortnite wasn’t perfect but I think that will probably get better

Not saying anything new, but the way FromSoft just run circles around the rest of the video game industry is amazing. They’re fine reusing assets to make smaller games and what do you know? Consumers don’t hate that!!!!! Please do it more!!!!!
