📈 UNICEF 2024 data: Child labor rates range from 0.3% (Turkmenistan) to 45% (Ethiopia).

📈 Uzbekistan’s Gini index reached 34.6% in 2024 (up from 32.9% in 2021). Inequality grew post-COVID, increasing from 32.9% in 2021 to 34.5% in 2023. However, the growth of inequality slowed down in 2024.

Without stronger social protection, up to 266 million people could fall into poverty across Asia-Pacific by 2040.

📊 Between 6%–9% of regional GDP is needed to fix the damage, compared to just 3.3% of GDP needed to build universal protection now.
