This PR started on a call with @uwucocoa.moe where our other colleague was complaining about an ugly error message.
Rather than say “yea it’s annoying”, we jumped over to the #ElixirLang codebase and fixed it.

Ever got those annoying "Protocol String.Chars not implemented for GIANT BLOB OF DATA" errors in #ElixirLang ??
