They were arrested by UCPD so even weirder tbh. I was arrested by Berkeley PD in 2017 and brought to Santa Rita, so not sure what the rhyme or reason is.

My understanding is that they were arrested by Berkeley police, but sent to the Santa Rita jail. This never happens, so they were hard to find. Between that and the high bail, the goal seems to me to have been to put them away for days at least. They got out this evening though.

Wow, apparently UCPD arrested 4 people for felony vandalism for allegedly hanging up a cardboard bug and putting up posters. 3 are held on $20k bail, 1 on $10k bail.
