Referencing unusual couture helps identify the right places to add these flower and thorns in a way that makes these characters look beautiful in an exotic way.

we leaned more into strange fungus, exotic seeds and unusual flowers, we also had to deliberately had to side-step anything that looked insectoid because faerie court occupies that space. And I think that helped it look much more unique.

Thorns being straight keeps it more plant, less insect

To create an alien and exotic feeling, it was important to be faithful to how flowers, plants and fungus appear in the real world because they were so alien already and have such specific anatomies to them that going off would actually make something look more generic.

The visuals for the anomaly are beautiful and so trippy, and we wanted to lean into a brighter and hopeful interpretation of the arcane anomaly, in visual opposition to jayce's darker more nihilistic view of the arcane #LoLDevArt 🧵2/2
