Hiroshi Ishii is the Jerome B. Wiesner Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Laboratory. He founded the Tangible Media Group to make digital tangible by giving physical form to digital information and computation in 1995 at the Media Lab.

消えてゆくものは、失われるのではない。
アンバー *amber*（琥珀）は、過去の光を記憶し、
エンバー *ember* （残り火）は、遠い日の温もりを憶えている。
そのあいだに「テレアブセンス」が息づく——
そこには、過去の存在が放った輝きがあり、
失われたものの静かな余韻がある。
