trump has two moves when he’s faced with a possible scandal: he either categorically denies any wrongdoing OR he categorically denies any wrongdoing while suggesting that everyone does whatever he’s being accused of doing. he takes this latter tact whenever the first doesn’t work. 2/3

the fact that he’s gone from categorically denying an epstein scandal to categorically denying one while also trying to spread the idea that *everyone* was similarly in cahoots with epstein tells you that he knows he can’t just deny it - because it’s too obviously true. 3/3
