Thank you, that's so kind of you to say!! I have to give a good chunk of the credit to all the writers and directors on those shows for the likeability, but I do feel like I've been very lucky in the projects I've been able to work on 😄

spray bottle + electric fan = homemade mister; put lemonade or similar in small cups with chopsticks into the freezer for juice popsicles because it's better to not hydrate with just water; damp cheesecloth around ice cubes on the back of the neck for cooling. good luck!!

send everyone a screenshot of this post, no additional context. it's 2025 and nonsense is relative!! (also: i feel like a good percentage of millennials had those choose your own adventure books in their school libraries, so...points for nostalgia?)

Margaret Rogerson and Sabaa Tahir are go-tos in fantasy for me! Other perennials are Shards of Honor/Barrayar and Winternight trilogy. If you like audiobooks, the two best performances I've ever heard are Adjoa Andoh reading the Imperial Radch series and Kyle McCarley reading Goblin Emperor.

i dunno if that resonates, but i know i found it helpful to stop worrying about "fixing" my response to acute stressors and start thinking about what day-to-day things i could do to bring down my baseline stress instead! much less pressure to respond the right way, right away

had a grad school mentor explain it to me like this: there's acute stress & baseline stress. if your baseline stress is high (and, uh. guessing it is, for obvious reasons), you can acclimate to it, but then it takes very little acute stress (like losing a remote) to tip you into 'can't cope' mode...
