It’ll be the same app. Same bundle ID. If you have App Updates enabled, it’ll be completely seamless. Funnily enough Max in Benelux is already called HBO Max (same binary, different xcassets w/ branding).

Any interesting challenges implementing it or was it just adding a pan recognizer that changes its position?

What are my alternatives to ObservableObject and @Published if I can’t use Observation for ~2 more years?

Vision has many things you could do because input on the platform is fundamentally sight-driven. We came up with a lot of interactions that Apple’s API frustratingly killed. In hindsight good: we got an ask to track what products people were looking at, and I could say no, Apple doesn’t allow it.

Most iOS apps don’t require using a camera. There’s a clear line between what is part of the product’s core functionality and isn’t, and if anyone crosses it, it’d be a pretty clear violation.

The moment eye tracking becomes available, advertisers are going to exploit the shit out of it, and it’ll be very hard for Apple to put the cat back in the bag. Imagine actually having to look at ads to completion, tracking where you look in provocative pictures.
