A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special

Rating: 7.5

The MC and cast of this anime were interesting and the premise was unique. I liked seeing the MC use anti-magic in a unique way, and the animation is actually top notch (it’s adapted from a Korean webtoon).

Rating: 8/10

Technically an isekai, but also a mind-numbing allegory for adolescence and all the baggage that comes with it. You'll definitely be rating it lower if you didn't understand what was happening (it's still a great anime though!)

The Great Cleric

Rating: 8.5/10

This Isekai was a breath of fresh air! It shows us an MC who is actually underpowered and had to work really hard in order to become powerful enough to protect his new community, loved ones and city. I highly rate this.

Rating: 7/10

How did the studio get away with this? It's full of good gags, ecchi and low budget CGI that might have been intentionally placed to save money and get laughs. A good Isekai to casually enjoy.

The Faraway Paladin

I tried hard to like this. It's rare that we get an Isekai with a paladin MC that has solid themes of religion, faith and holiness. But the middle of the story dragged out way too long, creating an overall bland story.

Uncle from Another World

This is a straight-forward gag anime with some pretty funny sequences that had me cackling. The story follows the MC's uncle after he returns back to the real world from an Isekai with his powers. Hilarity ensues.

If you're on the adulting side of life, you'll come to appreciate this anime a lot more. The MC gets Isekaid to a fantasy land and has to use his economic smarts to save it from financial ruin.

This anime was probably the sleeper hit isekai of this season. It got a worse reception than what it deserved - and I found myself addicted to the MC and overall world/story/characters!

Oh Naofumi... I wish I could love this more. Season 2 was a directionless mess. If you can skip through most of it, Season 3 redeems this anime (S4 is coming!). Season 1 was good, too!

I loved seasons 1 and 2 of this anime. I was excited for season 3 in 2022 but I was really let down by the direction. It's a great Isekai which shows the more subtle aspects like politics, economy etc.

This was a sleeper hit of the season. It's an isekai which sees a young girl with tamer powers, reborn with vague memories of a past life. Super wholesome and highly recommend this.
