I think it went rather well, but that is also just due to the fact that everyone played me up and worked with me in such a lovely way. And a role as rasputin was, for me, the easiest to pick up on short notice, because you can always fall back on the function of the role.

How are the encounters in the hexes? I'm a perpetually lazy DM, so any game with an interesting setting that takes away some prep work is highly valued.

Oh and back in those times where people must probably emigrated, lower German was probably spoken by most of them. At least my grandmother who was born in Altona in the beginning of the twentieth century was raised speaking lower German still.
