Also there will always be edge cases. You have to plan for the majority and adress anything that has a large enough impact . Unfortunately you just can't accommodate every edge case that an unrealistic goal in development.

You're making it more complex than it needs to be. The player isnt asking for a full detailed run down that would be just as bad as going back in not remembering anything.
Majority of players just need a little assistance jogging their memory.

Yeaah, I can only try to be hopeful about that. I've removed myself from all these companies as much as possible, but I'm good with having to go through the work to do that .
