i love when stories use flashbacks in any form to tell the story. in this case, we read a younger raif recounting some experiences!! it's literally so fun when it takes the bulk of the story too.

in contrast, the picture of dorian gray was much easier to read and it was published in 1890. the passage of time and how language develops is so amazing.

sense and sensibility makes me feel kinda illiterate like it's english but it's from the regency era and i'm still confused.
