Second, rural evangelicals churches show internal homogeneity. Preference formation comes from the small and familial character of churches, the role of pastors (strong bonding social capital) and weak relationships to other types of social and pol actors (weak bridging capital)

In other words, evangelicals' electoral preferences do not stem from a strong ideological or partisan attachment to the radical right (they do not see themselves as right wing). As such, this vote could potentially turn to a different party in the future

First, in terms of motivations, evangelicals support the PR as they are perceive its members as defendors of values (understood mostly as defense of the traditional family), and given their apoliticism and anti-establishment attitudes that match the PR's populist traits
