Fungi yesterday at Yarner Wood, #Dartmoor, #Devon.
After watching tonight's episode of Hamza's Hidden Wild Isles, I wonder what they look like illuminated by UV light.
Would love someone to identify what they are too.

Talking of British values, perhaps he should have a look at the Life in the UK test you must pass to gain settlement. As someone who did it, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry at this test question (the statement comes straight from the official study book) at the time and even less now.

That was the first large blanket I knitted. The worst bits were casting one (so many stitches I had to count and recount them to make sure I had the right number) and weaving in the ends. Otherwise it was very straight forward and fast to knit.

Thank you. As I continued to take photos, I have added those plus their location. Plus several plant names came back to me later. And several people posted photos of wood avens which was one of my "mystery plants".
Mimosa acacia bonus photo below. V much cultivated but such a lovely, fragrant find!

Started doing my 1st ever #NewYearPlantHunt but got worried that I wasn't doing it right and my at-best-beginner's ID skills seemed to get worse as I walked. I stopped recording but continued taking pictures. The fragrance from a large patch of winter heliotropes was amazing!

Thank you, that's interesting as I would have expected the number to be much smaller. It will be interesting to see how that number changes over time given there was initially a sharp decline post Brexit, then a smaller one.

An excellent article about the reality behind the immigration figures vs the headlines & politician rhetoric.

I bought this over a year ago and finally got around starting it a few weeks ago.
Pleased with how it's going, now I've got the hang of French knots again!
A good way to spend some of this wet & windy weekend.
