I just saw two cedar waxwings; they flew before I could take a photo.☹️ This is only the 2nd time I have seen them irl; they are only in this area briefly during migration.

When my granddaughter (age 3) really wants your attention, she holds your face in her hands and stares into your eyes. Yesterday, she upped her game by cupping my face and staring into my eyes before pressing her nose against mine and saying, "I want cupcakes." 🤣

DH got his first shingles shot yesterday. I was hoping he would have an easier time than I did. So far, he is not.☹️ It's a good thing the pharmacy only had one dose last week, so we weren't both sick at the same time.

I must have woken up in an extra sassy mood today. I actually responded to someone on Reddit who basically dissed me for liking Dragon Age Veilguard. They were kind enough to explain how I couldn't possibly like such an "objectively" bad video game for anything other than the "flashy" combat.🙄

I love the trend for books with middle-aged (or older) female protagonists. However, I don't like it when those protagonists are forty-five going on ninety. One example: most people in their early forties don't have age spots.
