Two bits of good news amidst the chaos: I will be pursuing my PhD with Duke’s DSCB program + I received the NSF GRFP! I am so, SO grateful for the support of my mentors, family, and friends. I’m excited to keep doing what I love and determined to continue advocating for the importance of science!

As a Floridian, I was frustrated by all of the misinformation online following Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. To address this, I wrote a two-part piece debunking these claims and discussing what comes next—both in terms of recovery, the election, and future hurricanes. #scicomm
