First co-led work from the Doudna lab 🤜🤛
We designed minimal RNA-guided nucleases with AI, and even did Cryo-EM during an earthquake (!) Huge honor working with @petrskopintsev.bsky.social, @evandeturk.bsky.social, Jennifer Doudna and co-authors, everyone at D-Lab and @innovativegenomics.bsky.social

So honored to receive the Best Thesis Prize❤️ @cambridgeuni.bsky.social @cruk-ci.bsky.social still feels surreal. Thank you to CRUK, my supervisors for believing in my ideas, and my former lab members, friends and family for always supporting me. So grateful to be part of such an inspiring community!
Congratulations to @isabelesain.bsky.social, who is awarded the 2024 CRUK Cambridge Institute PhD Thesis Prize.

In her doctoral research, Bel discovered a new molecular mechanism in cancer gene regulation opening up a new therapeutic window for cancer treatments.
