This is Oliver Saks on Luria and it brings me right back to grad school and our “Read the Originals” rogue group who were trying to hurl out our secondary sources to read the original writings of the greats. Luria was always so lyrical, descriptive, and personal… “romantic” in his and Saks’ terms.

This makes me deeply happy. And this is me doing EXACTLY the same yesterday in the park.
Another thing I love doing with that tome is randomly opening to a page in the second volume and reading it. 99% of the time it blows my puny mind and keeps me excited to go back through the early data.
