Nice! I’m impressed you lug two! I only travel with one DT.

I know the feeling. DT is a great center brain. Did you set it up for sitting or standing? Or both?

This sounds a lot like the conditional trig options on Elektron: 100%, 1:2, 2:2, 4:4 or never. Plus they still offer random likeliness on the actual percentages (like 13%, which is an average of 1:8 but not predictable)

For simplicity, it seems like a Kaossilator or RMX500/1000 would work. But a lot of live electronic artists seem to use onboard hardware FX (i.e. Octatrack) or mixer FX (i.e. Xone, Model1) instead.

Sounds awesome, but maybe you don’t need the 404 and the Octatrack both. One might do?

I’m not sure there is any “right or wrong” way here. If you’ve found a sound you like, go with it. In fact, the ability to “tweak it later” can also be an excuse to never finish. Some of the best producers I know print their stems to audio ASAP as a way to commit to decisions and move forward.

Why pray for it? Get a MyVolts Ripcord and take your Elektrons with you there.

Trying to keep track is what what they want for us. It’s not about the details— it’s about the velocity. I don’t listen to Ezra Klein often, but this is a good inspiration: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

I think he had his turn. He had a really good run. But a couple of years ago he turned in his skates in a moment of poor judgment, and now he’s just pacing around outside the rink. Free skate is over. Time to make room for the next generation. #grammys
