A very crisp and cold morning walk to work today! Slipped around a bit, but thankfully didn't eat Asphalt/Concrete like I did the past two Thursdays
A view looking down the Royal Avenue, Royal Victoria Park, Bath. The view is centred on a sidewalk with a white van in the distance. Light frozen grass, trees, benches and a black and gold litter bin on the right; the street on the left, with more sidwalks, grass, trees, and distant buildings beyond it. The trees are an equal mix of greens, oranges, and yellows. The morning sunlight is coming in from the right, casting long shadows across the whole scene. The sky is slightly hazy from the cold. The air is just below freezing and fairly quiet. Off screen is a retriever (at least it looked kinda like one, I don't know dog breeds), running around and digging at a spot in the dirt. Behind this POV, the sound of joggers and the occasional car passing. There are slippery spots in the ground, but most of the sidewalk is perfectly walkable.

Took me a bit to write the alt text, but here are some of the photos I've taken over the years!
Location: Royal Victoria Park in the city of Bath, in the United Kingdom. A view of a small duck pond in autumn. You are stood on a paved side, and there are yellow leaves clumping up where it meets the water. The water itself is a dark shade of green. Patches of blue, orange, tan, and yellow accent the ripples of water. The ripples are formed by maybe a dozen ducks, seagulls, and other water birds. Two seagulls (well, I think they are seagulls) dart across the pond, one of them is so low that it leaves the faintest wake behind it. On the opposite bank, on the left-hand side, a pattern of sand-coloured rocks mark the waterline. More birds are resting there. There is also a black fence a bit further, behind it a bench, a stone pedestal with what looks like a stone cup atop it, and a large tree whose branches reach almost directly upwards, punctuated with bushels of green and yellow. Behind them is a wall of foliage, mostly green, but behind the bench are several bunches of brightly orange leaves, easily one of the brightest things in the whole image. On the right-hand side is another, further, bank. More green foliage, but since it is facing away from the sun, details are harder to make out. However, there is a break in this wall of foliage, and a small green open space can be seen, occupied by a large white tent. The sky is light blue, the clouds almost look like diagonal patches of oil paint across the view. It is around 5 PM and while the sun hasn't set, there is the slightest warm tone over the entire image. Location: Calle Crisologo in the city of Vigan in the Philippines. A view down a quiet, lit, street in the early hours of the morning. No one else is around, your footsteps faintly echoes down the street. Apart from the pitch black sky, amd a few defiant leaves, the whole scene is very yellow and orange. You are stood on the left sidewalk of a cobblestone road. The sidewalk is also cobblestone. It has rained recently and there's patches of water too small to really be puddles. They're particularly good at reflecting the yellow street lights suspended from the sides of the surrounding buildings. The buildings are a well-preserved relic of the Spanish colonial era. The walls, typically of white, cream, and sand colours during the day, are currently differing shades of oranges and yellows under their street lights. The doorways of these buildings are arches with doors of wood, arranged in grid patterns, with smaller grids between them, backed by some translucent material (I don't know, paper?). There are roof... things hanging above a door way and windows on the opposite sidewalk. The windows also have flaps that close and look identical to the doors in grid and material. However at ground level, there are some curved stylised cages over the windows. These cages are common throughout most homes in the Philippines, which serve to keep out intruders. The windows on the second level are not caged, but do have tiny air-conditioning units strapped onto the flaps themselves. There is some greenery on roof covers and in small planters at street level. There is a bench on your side of the road, it is stylised like local horse carriages, with two wooden wheels, and a small roof. You can make out some signs of the businesses here: "Rowilda's Handloom Weaving", "Jade", "Muebles de Vigan Showroom". You arrived around 3 AM and no one is awake apart from your tour group and a street vendor who sells you some Taho: a hot drink made from Tapioca, Tofu, Pearls, and Brown Sugar. Location: The Queen Victoria Memorial monument outside of Buckingham Palace, in London, in the United Kingdom. The sun is shining off-screen from the right-hand side. It is late afternoon. You are facing one of the four corners of a tall monument of marble and gilded bronze. Atop the central pylon is a gilded woman in robes, one hand pointing upwards and another with a palm frond in the other. She has wings, and is standing upon an equally gilded globe. This is the personification of Victory. Sitting at her feet to her immediate left atop the pylon is a gilded personification of Courage. He wields a club, wears a roman helmet and toga, and looks off into the distance. Constancy is not visible but sits at Victoria's right, and wields a compass. Beneath her on the picture's left-hand side, but still atop the pylon is a marble eagle, a symbol of Imperial rule. Below that eagle is Queen Victoria, herself in robes and a crown, sat upon her throne, all in marble. She wields an orb and sceptre. That side is in shadow at the time this was taken. On the opposite side, where most of the sunlight hits, is a personification of Justice, also in marble. She too is in robes, a Roman helmet, and wings. She bears a sword in her left hand. Justice is comforting a naked crying woman to her right at her feet. On her left is a naked cherub, who bears the scales that symbolise her. In the afternoon light, she shines just as brightly as the gilded Victory. The base of the visible monument is wide. Queen Victoria and Justice have their respective semi-circular pedestals upon which they sit or stand. Between them, corners shaped like the pointed bows of wooden sailing ships evokes the Royal Navy that was a cornerstone of the British Empire. Location: The lake behind Newton Park campus at Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom. You are walking down a trail of packed dirt. It's a bit steep on the way down so you have to lean back a bit for fear of slipping. The path goes from the centre of your view, exiting right behind a bush. You are greeted by an open black gate directly in front of you. It's not that high, about waist level. A brown, rusting fence extends in from off-screen on the left into the centre of your view, where it makes a sharp turn back left and into the distance. At the corner where the turn is made is a wooden box of some sort. A bird feeder maybe? In the area closed off by the fence, there are yellow and white flowers (I'm not good with plants, okay?). Behind them is a massive wall of foliage from several trees, forming a veritably solid wall of green leaves. A small part of the campus lake is visible. The water has a sort of dark green colour from the trees around it. White specks are scattered around the surface. There is no shortage of green in this picture. Along the waterline that follows the trail, there are various water plants that look like really tall grass. On the far bank, there are fewer plants in the water itself, but plenty of trees. There is also a small orangery on the far bank. It's a sort of faded white, or sand colour, with a square base and grey triangle roof. The front consists of five arches (though only three are visible), with the central arch being the entrance. It is a tiny building, used for growing oranges and other fruit that need to be protected from direct sunlight. The scene itself is sunny, but you can see heavy clouds in the sky above inching forward in your general direction.

I don't really make that much art, at least the drawing/painting/rendering kind, prefering photography as my medium, but felt like giving this test a try!
