This Special Issue marking the 15th anniversary of the magazine founded by the late Michael Burawoy, is both about honoring his memory and legacy and celebrating the relevance of public sociology with contributions from around the world.

The product of seven years of research, The Distinction of Peace draws from social theory and the cumulative and corrective knowledge of peacebuilders to explain the relationship between peace, war, and justice as rooted in inequality.
