Anyways, I've been paying much more attention to the Dutch general election. The left remains as pathetically unpopular as ever but there's been a big win for the progressive center. Overall an improvement over the last election. But government formation is gonna be a shitshow.

I did hear him speak a little bit and he genuinely seems like the most talented campaigner in the world. If he does well as mayor I imagine his political career will be unstoppable.

I've always found it super weird that old governments can just kinda come back. In the Netherlands after the occupation they just kinda continued with mostly* the same parliament that was elected in 1937 and formed a new coalition government to plan new elections.

What's up with American political party names always being completely meaningless and non-descriptive of their ideology
