This summer in Italy, I discovered that, while how strictly this is enforced varied a lot (especially along perceived gender lines), you're not supposed to go into churches with exposed knees or shoulders. It tracks, of course, but I was surprised nonetheless.

From the perspective of someone who spent 26 years throwing humans around professionally, this post is correct. One on one against a riot cop, a protester is at a serious disadvantage because of the shield, the weapon and THE TRAINING. Now recognize it's not 1 on 1. Resist, but be safer and smarter.
