You compare her hand to yours. They look different. "Oh." You look at her face. She's scared... but you can see all of the features clearly now. "Oh right." You look at your reflection in her eye. "I can think." You: When did you start remembering the accident? Me: Well… there's a thought that happens when you're healing. A thought that you have thoughts at all. It's the most important thing in the world for a split second. And once you know your thoughts exist… you can remember.

You thras against the door, screeching the whole time. Your mouth foams, you drag your claws all the way down the door as you lower yourself the to ground. "Help. Please." There's a voice. The woman. Your screaming lowers in volume as you turn around to find out what's going on. You can't make out everything. But you can make out "door." "Fuck!" You can't make out what the woman says next. "Stay calm." The voice from the speaker says. The woman has backed herself into the corner. "What... do?" she says. The voice in the speaker responds. You don't understand it. "Okay. Okay. Okay. FUCK!" She's trembling. She's terrified of you. "STAY BACK!" The voice over the speaker talks again.The woman responds. She wants you to stay away. You... aren't sure how to feel about this. You arch your back. She's scaring you quite a bit... But she's holding meat. You want that. Your tentacles unfurl, reaching forward to pull her arm towards you. "Fuck. FUCK!" She tries to pull away. You chomp the meat in her hand and swallow it... Then you look at her hand. It's messy, covered in juices from the meat. Everything feels clear now. You understand again.

You stare into the room with wide eyes and a blank expression. You scream "FUCK". You're shaking with anger, huffing, panting... then you cry. You're upset you're still trapped here. "Bored?" "..." Your ears lower, you look sad. "LONELY." "Try again" You furrow your brow and narrow your eyes. Fade to nothingness. You hide beneat the cot again. "Same." The door opens with a sss "Same." You run toward the door. "same." You hop up to the window again. "Different." There's another person here this time. A woman in an orange jumpsuit. The door is closed. "Closed. No. No. No. No. No. No." You scratch the door with your claws. "Closed. No. CLOSED. NO" You grow increasingly angry. Your eyes widen. Your mouth foams. You snarl. "CLOSED CLOSED CLOSED NO! NO! NO!" You screech in rage.
