We're all communicating on a network that was built using public money, running open protocols, on mostly free software. The Linux kernel is one of the most successful software projects in history and it's entirely free. If that isn't leftist, I don't know what is.

This isn't entirely true. The Free Software movement is very socialist in its views and is antithetical to capitalist, closed source software. We're not *all* tech bros.
