This is now removed. You can still trick it to work with single player via aeroplane mode - which is clearly a bug as it's not mentioned on the FAQ anymore.
It was literally a feature before. And Nintendo said out loud we could keep the old way of doing it if we wanted. They said it. Then they removed it.

I have 3 luxray but only 1 of the other two, filtered the search to ♦️♦️♦️ so you can see what you have to trade (I also listed what I'm missing in the alt-text) I'm also missing alakazam, zapdos and nidoking in Genetic Apex if you have those,

Damage counters like these usually come with official decks, in tournaments dice are used too, helps with large EX cards since players can just count the dice and x60
