First world countries shouldn't destroy the planet, and the euphemism 'energy' doesn't fool anybody.

To me they smell like diesel. I can always tell when someone at work just vaped.

This isn't "BREAKING NEWS"

If they all stopped accepting jobs from Disney, that would be a real protest.

You think John Bolton is a democrat? ....and that he was murdered?
August 22, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Love it. Let me know how everyday Americans can force them to do that. The fact that their constituents are screaming at them in town halls would normally be the solution, but is not working.
August 14, 2025 at 6:08 PM
If what you're asking for is violence, just say it. Millions of people have been protesting, so explain specifically what you would consider doing something.

If you disagree that it's useful in certain cases (if you read and fully understand the generated code) then I would love to know why. I'm always open to changing my perspective.

It's so cringe to see a fellow software engineer talk down to a scientist like this. I'm sure that you already know AI code generation can be useful, in the same way that tab completion is useful for coding. It's like really good tab completion when a chunk of what you need is obvious (often)

I like my Supernote Nomad. It has a bit of glare for reading in bright light, but the drawing features are very cool, and it's an open platform. Still waiting on their promised SDK though...

This is a fake image. Stop circulating things without fact checking them, it doesn't help anyone.

Which number is it specifically that I should stop calling?

Political cartoons are usually highly contextualized by current events. I think it's irresponsible to criticize them while ignoring their actual meaning. And in this case I think it's offensive to treat a rape victim as an identity-less symbol of race. Please don't project that on me.

It's Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. This was drawn when she was testifying about being raped by Brett Kavanaugh
March 25, 2025 at 2:54 PM
It came out the day she was testifying to the senate committee. That testimony was huge news. Political cartoons are often metaphorical and not labeled literally.
March 25, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Huh? I want people to remember that this happened, and not be flippant about the cartoon.
March 25, 2025 at 2:48 PM
I wish people would remember her name. Now you have a thread full of people bashing this very powerful reminder of her story. :(
March 25, 2025 at 2:44 PM
Sigh.. I guess my job today is to go around reminding people that Christine Blasey Ford was raped by Brett Kavanaugh. That's who's in the cartoon. www.cbc.ca/amp/1.4844689
Our supreme court justice being a rapist isn't 'yawn', but I guess everyone forgot immediately.
