First 2 books of JL Beck's Dark Lies series. Taking a little break before going on to book 3&4

For me most of the comedic moments came from Tommy. His down to earth actions and language was a nice contrast to the aristocratic characters. He was unapologetically himself. This was my first Emma Chase book but it won't be my last

Unfortunately this was the first for me. All the others have been stuffy with attempts at humor that never lands.

Because of past experiences I almost didn't give it a chance but I'm glad I did

Seems like you being quiet is a them problem. They can't figure you out that's why they are uncomfortable. I'm quiet so I can analyze and it had saved me numerous times
