Day three of Gaelcon today. Succeeded Diaz in Pax Porfiriana on Friday night and introduced a few newcomers to it who were enamoured. Played People Power by @gmtgames.bsky.social for the first time yesterday evening as the NPA, enjoyed it. Teaching A Distant Plain today!

Great day yesterday playing Here I Stand along with @mrgoyette.bsky.social. As the French I captured Charles V, built a few chateuas and warred with Hapsburgs and English. @mrgoyette.bsky.social Ottomans took Vienna and lost Istanbul in the same turn. Hapsburg player had terrible luck too!

Started a second game earlier of Mr President by @gmtgames.bsky.social , going much smoother. End of year 2 and my party controls both houses in Congress. I am however bogged down in Afghanistan still.

Great fun at Punchedcon - so far I've been stabbed in the back by the Carthaginians, stabbed in the front by the Austrians and the assassination of a Pope lost me a game. Great people and great games, congrats to the organisers.

Wheels down at Giulia airfield, Foggia. All in all a successful mission for Saucy Minx, bombs on target and the plane is relatively in good shape bar the radio and some superficial damage. Sgt Garrys injury is not severe and it won't keep him out of action. Target for Today by Legion Wargames!

As we turn for home we narrowly avoid bombs dropped on the formation. We do take two flak hits, one to the left wing but thankfully superficial. Tail gunner Lee Garry is hit in the shoulder but seems to be a graze, he's OK. We move away from Munich towards the Alps...
