I could photograph rooks all day. Wishing Ireland was my home so I could!

We lost our Rocky this last year too. And he looked like he could be a sibling… Rocky was a rescue and we didn’t know his exact age. We need him too. I am so sorry for your loss.

Today I turn forty six.
I just want kindness.
A mere culture of kindness.

My Dublin looks like he could be related. Named after a city in my favorite country to visit.

The Spire in Dublin, Ireland.

Also called “The Monument of Light”

I remember wanting to capture it “just right”. I saw it on a cloudy day and it seemed to blend right into the sky.

One year ago today, I took the picture that now occupies my desktop and that takes me back, mentally, anytime I need that retreat. #cliffsofmoher

Today in 2024, I landed in Ireland and enjoyed dinner at Durty Nelly’s in Bunratty, Co. Clare. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. I also met a rook that starred in some of my favorite pics.

One year ago today, I boarded a flight headed to Shannon, Ireland. I’ll share a bit about that trip over the next few days. Ireland is where my ancestors are from. As if history lives on in the genes passed down from generation to generation, the fiber of my being knew I was home.

if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.”

The Cliffs of Moher back in April 2024. This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. Of course, so much of Ireland is counted in the most beautiful places I’ve been.

Last April, I visited Ireland and stayed in a townhouse on Galway Bay. My favorite part was waking up to the peaceful view and sounds of the water. If I could replicate that sense of peace for us all, I sure would. For now, enjoy a snippet of what I recorded.
