To call a constitutional convention, legislatures of two-thirds of the states (34 states) must apply to Congress. Congress is then required to call a convention to propose amendments. The proposed amendments must then be ratified by three-fourths of the states to become valid.

Actually, I think we should have three presidents with overlapping terms and they all must agree on anything before it gets enacted. This idea of "One Leader" is so Apelike. Can we not evolve?

Oh, we thought about it a lot. It was called the Equal Rights Amendment and was allowed to die on the vine - mostly due to apathy and ignorance on the part of women. I went to a women's rights rally in 2018 and it was all about trans rights and sex worker rights. I left in defeat.
