If you're queer married, get yourselves to an estate lawyer. Make sure your will is in order. Make sure that you are each other's power of attorney. Me and my spouse made sure that if gay marriage was overturned we'd be married in every way but legal marriage.

I know one thing for sure, since I was a little girl I’ve been sexually harassed and assaulted by straight men. I will always feel safe sharing spaces with a trans person, because they never hurt me. I would also trust them with my non-verbal daughter if I wasn’t in the same room.
