GM Narrative Tip #5: Use a fronts sheet to outline your sandbox campaign villains

If you have 4 villains in your sandbox world, their ultimate goal should be a 4-step plan. Each time your party defeats a villain, advance the remaining to the next step

Keep the clock ticking and the stakes raising

GM Narrative Tip #4: Player backstories can be a gold mine of adventure hooks and plot ideas.

If you find yourself stuck on what to do next, revisit what they put down and see what inspires you.

GM Narrative Tip #3: When introducing your world to the players, focus on the core truth of your world and how it relates to the adventure.

Keep it to two pages; one about the overall world and its current state, the other one focused on character options to get the players inspired.

GM Narrative Tip #2: Use patterns in naming conventions to establish consistency in worldbuilding.

Ex.
Pallendromes (Dorod, Vinoniv)

Repeated syllables (Lolo've, Nana's)

All last names are holy figures (Jotun, Yohanna)

Players will start to identify where someone is in your world just by a name

GM Narrative Tip #1: When your PCs talk with an NPC, what are they doing?

Sweeping their house?
Writing some letters?
Eating a meal?

Do they sit down after getting some heavy news?

Do they pace as they contemplate a risky plan?

Adding these descriptions bring them to life in your players minds

Oh that alone would've made Tolkien *rage* in the theater.

It's the one thing I hold up as an example to LOTR purists that, no, they're not exactly 'faithful' adaptations despite how incredible they are.

They really shouldn't have cut the scene of him receiving the hairs from Galadriel.
