Might be worth putting a few quid on Portugal winning the whole thing. I reckon they’ll bend over backwards to get him to lift the trophy.

Which just goes to show that a footballer can’t be defined by one season at such an early stage of their career. Parrott’s clearly developed since then.

I’d say he’s done enough in his recent form to put himself in the shop window. If we could get Ivan Toney in Jan I’d go for him, but he’s more likely to choose Spurs and would cost a packet anyway. We need to be realistic with who we can go for and Parrott seems as good as any we’ve been linked with

A bit harsh judging a 20 year old, coming back from injury and not getting full game time as a ‘flop’. Quite selective with your examples of Eredivisie players too. There have been some that haven’t travelled well, but there have also been Van Persie, Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, Suarez etc etc

I recall Everton being linked with Virgil Van Dijk when he was at Celtic. So many blues saying the Scottish league is crap and were dead against it.

I hear you, but he clearly knows where the net is. He hasn’t just been scoring against no-marks. Two goals v Portugal, three goals v Hungary ..in the space of a week.

20 goals in 37 appearances for AZ sounds decent enough form to me. Who was the last Everton striker getting stats like that ?

Same

Same issue. No reserved seats showing despite being STHs. Been on hold to the box office for 2.5 hours. Z-cars/Spirit of the blues etc really doing my head in now

@fanservices.evertonfc.com No reserved seats showing in my tickets list. Priority access for STH shuts today and box office isn’t taking any calls. Is everyone having this trouble ?

I recommend the brewery tour if you ever make it over there, then the Cervecería Estrella de Galicia in town. I’ve spent quite a bit of time working in Galicia.

Fidel Castro’s da was from just down the road in Lugo. Different ends of the political spectrum. Wonder if they both liked an Estrella Galicia though.

Ferrol is to Coruña what Birkenhead is to Liverpool. Let’s not split hairs

Franco comes from the same place as Estrella Galicia, La Coruña. I salute that.

Surely anyone who supports rejoining the EU should welcome the topic back into the political conversation. Quit your moaning.
August 1, 2025 at 6:48 AM
Labour are going to lose the next election badly anyway. Time for a leadership challenge and rebrand as ‘anti-reform, anti-far right, pro-Europe and rejoin’. There are millions of voters who’s lap that up. What have they got to lose ?
