I imagine so much of the resistance isn't intentional, but a result of extremely distracting little computers in our pockets. I have to WORK to learn about the rise and fall of democracy in Athens (soooooo interesting!) but I have an infinite stream of random nonsense available at all times.

Honestly, if he could waste 4 years doing that... I'd be ok with that tax dollar usage?

That seems to be part of the plan. I've gotten recruiting emails from them, specifically looking for people to work on LLMs.
