Red Sox fan relieved that we did not sign Alonso. Every year, we complain about defense. If we want it to be better, you cant sign a 31 year old, almost average first baseman who doesn't want to DH. I'm relieved. Bregman doesn't have his power but he improves the defense

Over the past few months,Devers wasn't a good teammate and did nothing to help Cora. I'll miss him sometimes but now I'm glad he isn't on my Red Sox..

What John Green says in this NY Times interview about his new tuberculosis book is simply infuriating. The decision to stop funding treatment for TB, which kills 1M ppl every year, is not going to end well, esp. if its drug-resistant forms come back here.

If Alex Bregman has multi-year offers greater than the Astros 6 year $156M, why hasn't he signed? Maybe he doesn't have a better offer? Maybe he wants to stay in Houston? I'm glad the Red Sox made an offer and won't give in to a bad deal.

Until there is contrary evidence, I am going to trust Breslow, Bailey, and the rest of the pitching development group to evaluate their own pitchers
Rodriguez-Cruz made a huge jump in velo this year, touching up to 99 as a starter, with the velocity and usage changes resulting in an increase in his K rate. Chance to be a No 5 starter but with a floor as a middle reliever.
