The progress so far. I have romance, ttrpg, and Star Trek books left. Debating if I wanna keep my Star Wars books. I have all of them in ebook format. So I think I should to save space…and maybe leave my cat a shelf to sit on.

Soup soup soup. This is one of my fave go tos. It’s pretty simple and tastes great. Especially when the broth/stock is homemade
My fave is potato and mushroom This makes enough for me and maybe one more serving 2 cups chicken broth(homemade is best but store bought works too) 1 cup chopped russet potato 1/2 cup chopped shiitake mushrooms ~1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley Salt and letter to taste ~1 tbs olive oil for sautéing Optional: lemon and/or sour cream when serving Step one Chop all ingredients Step two Pour broth into pot with the potatoes and simmer until fork tender (approx 20 min depending on how small the pieces are) Step three While potatoes are cooking and 1tbs of oil to a pan and sauté the mushrooms until golden. Here you can also add salt and Continued on the second image. Step three While potatoes are cooking and 1tbs of oil to a pan and sauté the mushrooms until golden. Here you can also add salt and garlic if you’d like. You can also make this a one pot recipe by sautéing them in the soup pot first then removing them to simmer the potatoes. Step three Add mushrooms and parsley to the pot and let the ingredients mingle for a minute before removing from the heat. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with the option of sour cream and/or lemon.

Processed something neat at work today. Cigarette ads sure were metal back in the day. There was one on the interior that basically said. You made it. You’re alive. You don’t want to talk about it. (this is like really soon after wwi ended) Have a cigarette.
Ad for the cigarette brand The Greys from 1918. Features a soldier on horseback holding a rifle. The soldier is wearing a full head gas mask and the horse is wearing a cloth one. There’s a box of cigarettes in the lower right of the ad. This was definitely before filters were implemented.

Started a new Tunisian mosaic project using knotterknotter’s Ekta coaster patterns. My goal is enough to sew up a cardigan, but if I lose steam I’ll still have some useful pot holders.
A finished Tunisian mosaic coaster done in blue and pink. Behind it is the corresponding pattern chart.

It’s done! It’s almost two inches shy of 5 feet so I think I’m gonna add a fringe with the dark blue yarn after I block it. I completely ran out of the lighter yarn at a great spot on the pattern. It mirrors the other end.
Nearly 5 foot long Tunisian crochet mosaic scarf. It’s a diamond lattice pattern with dark blue outline and a mottled medium blue and off white interior.

Oh I should share the scarf. I’ve been working on this on and off since like February or March. I’m gonna try and finish it during my vacation.
A Tunisian crochet, mosaic pattern, scarf in two kinds of blue yarn. The pattern is a diamond lattice with the dark blue yarn being the borders and a dot in the middle of the diamond. The lighter blue and white mottled yarn is the filling of the diamonds.

I’ve genuinely considered getting another pillow as a decoy so I can actually work on my projects w/o getting up and coming back to this. If you work on a craft in your bed or on the couch I recommend getting one of these. The brand is Valari. It has really made a difference in how long I can craft
